I understand our court system and how to apply the law justly and fairly, the benefit of my more than 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, as an Assistant District Attorney and Arbitrator/Mediator for Allegheny County. As District Judge, I will protect peoples’ legal rights and make decisions to protect the safety and well-being of the community at large, as well as the plaintiffs and defendants who stand before me.
As a longtime Mt. Lebanon resident, Dormont small business owner, mother of three young adults, Vice President of the Dormont-Castle Shannon-Mt. Lebanon Rotary, Officer of several local sports organizations and former Chairperson of the Mt. Lebanon Community Relations Board, I understand our communities’ needs and challenges. Because I know Mt. Lebanon and Dormont very well, I can empathize with the difficult situations and complex issues people face.
In the practice of law, and as a community volunteer, I have earned a reputation for listening and working cooperatively with clients, fellow attorneys, judges, elected officials and public safety personnel. My temperament and training allow me to be tough, but fair, and to help neighbors resolve disputes.
Mt. Lebanon and Dormont residents deserve the good quality of life that results, in large part, from enforcing laws consistently and administering justice wisely. Serving full-time will mean I can prepare carefully for each case so that everyone who comes before me will have a fair day in court.
I believe I am uniquely qualified for this position and with my experience, I can hit the ground running. I am ready to serve and I hope you will agree that I am the best candidate for Magisterial District Judge.
